Z-section sheet piling is the most frequently used profile for medium and deep wall construction projects. It is also highly sought after for cantilever retaining walls. The PSZ-700 Series steel sheet pile is produced with S355-S430 grade steel. These profiles have a width of 1,400mm & 1,540mm and an effective weight ranging from 94.5kg/m² to 249kg/m².
Z Section sheet piles are called Z’s because the single piles are shaped roughly like a horizontally stretched Z. The essential characteristics of any Z Section sheet pile is the continuous nature of the web and the specific location of the interlocks on the outside flange of the section.
Interlocks are located symmetrically on both sides as far away from the neutral axis as possible. Z Section sheet piles are traditionally driven as double piles facilitating a greater wall coverage per pitch and drive.
The PSZ-700 Series steel sheet pile is a hot rolled steel profile which is characterised as a high-quality sheet with clutches suitable for driving in water charged conditions. The PSZ-700 Series steel sheet pile is produced with S355-S430 grade steel, is 1,400mm wide and has an effective weight ranging from 94.5kg/m² to 249kg/m² and section modulus ranging from 1,252cm³ to 5,162cm³. The PSZ-700 Series is manufactured to comply with EN 10248.
